The student welfare office at VIT Mauritius provides a wide range of services and support to students, focusing on enhancing their overall experience and well-being that goes beyond traditional academic instruction. The overall goal is to create a supportive learning environment, where students feel secure, recognized, respected, and motivated, that helps students to succeed. This positive learning environment helps students to grow in all aspects of their lives including physical, emotional, social, psychological and academic development. It also serves as a vehicle to facilitate extra-curricular activities for the students and assist their involvement in the activities of the student council, social functions, and professional organizations.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Student support services include a wide range of programs designed to help students in their academic and personal lives. These services include but not limited to academic advising, mentoring, counseling for mental well-being, career planning and guidance, financial support, tutoring, support for students with disabilities, and providing all appropriate resources for an engaged student life. Dr. Rajesh Kumar Muthu is an academician, accomplished researcher, entrepreneur and an International consultant . He has over 25 years of teaching and research experience across India (2000\u20132010, 2015\u20132021, 2023\u20132025), the United Kingdom (2010\u20132015), and Mauritius (2022, 2025\u2013Present). He is a Chartered Engineer with the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET), U.K., and a Senior Member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE). In 2010, he was awarded a prestigious Research Scholarship for his Ph.D. in the Department of Computer and Information Sciences at Northumbria University, Newcastle upon Tyne, U.K. He served as Co-PI in a Royal Academy of Engineering, U.K.-funded project (2022\u20132024) and was invited as an International Transversal Researcher under the France\u2013Mauritius ULIMA project in 2024. He currently serves as a Principal Consultant (2024) for a project in India focused on identifying behavioral patterns in children, and as a Co-Consultant (2025) for a project on audio-related applications in South Korea.<\/p>

\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tDr. Rani Chinnappa Naidu brings over two decades of academic experience and more than two years of industry exposure. She earned her Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Northumbria University, Newcastle upon Tyne, United Kingdom, in 2014. Following her doctorate, she continued at Northumbria University as a post-doctoral researcher at the Northumbria Photovoltaic Applications Centre. She also holds a B.E. in Electrical Engineering and an M.Tech in Power Systems from VIT University, India. Dr. Rani possesses extensive expertise in artificial intelligence and optimization techniques, with applications across various fields, including healthcare systems, machine intelligence, solar photovoltaic systems, wind energy conversion, and renewable power systems. Her research contributions include a prestigious grant from the Royal Academy of Engineering, UK (2021\u20132023), for a collaborative project between India and the UK. She is also the principal investigator of an international research initiative (2023\u20132024) funded by the IRCC, Qatar, in collaboration with Qatar University, VIT University, and UdM, Mauritius. An active contributor to the global academic and research community, Dr. Rani has organized and chaired numerous international conferences and symposiums. Dr. Anu Mary Ealias holds a Ph.D. in Environmental Engineering from VIT Vellore, India, and brings specialized expertise in environmental nanotechnology, wastewater treatment, sludge dewatering, and the fate and transport of emerging contaminants, including microplastics. She gained international research exposure as a Visiting Scholar at the University of California, Irvine, through the prestigious Indo-U.S. WISTEMM Fellowship. Dr. Ealias has authored over 20 SCIE-indexed publications, is the co-inventor of two certified design patents, and serves as a peer reviewer for more than 50 international journals.
